Statement on Tax Cut
Today I voted in favor, and the entire Senate passed, good legislation to put money back in to the pocketbooks of residents living in Nampa. You will see the financial relief and I am very pleased. While this isn’t a perfect tax bill, it provides considerable tax relief to Idaho residents and businesses. I am proud of the work we are doing this year and how Idaho’s conservative values continue to be our focus,” said Senator Jeff Agenbroad.
House Bill 463 is an important cut in taxes, in the amount of over $200 million in total tax relief. For residents in Nampa, that means $160 million will be reduced in both personal and business income tax rates and an additional $40 million will come from the creation of a new, non-refundable state child tax credit.
